Preserving Natural Heritage
Deeply rooted in the realities of Madagascar, we operate with an extensive understanding of the territory and its fragile ecological balance. Acknowledging both the richness and vulnerability of local ecosystems, we implement practices that prioritize soil conservation and biodiversity.
We raise awareness among farmers about environmental challenges and actively engage in reforestation initiatives, including the planting of vanilla plants and endemic species, directly linked to our sourcing activities. Each year, approximately 2,800 young plants are planted, with ongoing field monitoring. These efforts result in an average survival rate of 75%, reflecting the tangible and sustainable impact of our actions.
Our commitment extends beyond the vanilla sector. We have contributed, and continue to actively participate, in the restoration of a severely degraded area due to bushfires, now designated as a natural reserve: Nosy Soa Park in Mantasoa. This sanctuary is home to numerous emblematic species of Madagascar, including lemurs, turtles, and chameleons, as well as an exceptional range of endemic flora.
